French Skiing Holidays in the Pyrenees
Town and Pistes
Cauterets is a beautiful historic thermal spa town nestled at 900m. It is not a purpose built block of concrete on the side of a mountain, it has the feel of an authentic ski village full of charm and local ambiance and hospitality – as well as some great skiing and snowboarding terrain.

Skiing on and off-piste in Cauterets in the French Pyrenees

In 2005 Cauterets spent over 18 million euros building a new high speed 8 man telecabin system to whisk snow lovers up to the ski station which starts at a staggering 1800m.

Our holidays are ideal for families with small children as Cauterets has the ‘Kid Station’ mark. It has brilliant crèche facilities and great ski schools for little ones. Our apartments also will have everything you need from cots to highchairs to pre-ordered nappies! Let us take the stress out of your holiday planning.

Cauterets has 2 ski stations, Cirque de Lys with over 35km of marked downhill pistes and plenty more off piste, starting at 1750m meaning it is snow sure and gets the best snow in the French Pyrenees. It also has its own cross country ski station, the very beautiful Pont d’Espagne with over 35km of marked pistes set within a National Park.

Snowboarding Holidays in the Pyrenees

Cauterets is located within an hours drive to the stations of Luz Ardiden and Gavarnie Gedre and so these can be included in day trips should you fancy a change in scenery and piste!

A day trip can also be arranged to ski the off-piste only descent from the famous Pic du Midi de Bigorre at 2,872 metres. Before your descent, lunch al fresco overlooking the spectacular snow drenched mountains with views, on a clear day, of one-tenth of all France. A Truly an unforgettable experience.
